gorgeous creature is a project that explores love, self-love and empowerment through the senses—considering aspects of softness, sensuality and pleasure within the everyday. it is a punk endeavor created by [me] paige mazurek. i am a multidisciplinary artist based in brooklyn, NY.
the work I make is an act of love. it is a form of play and sensemaking intended to encourage healing and care. each piece is a tool for connection: with self, with others. It is about bringing light into this lifetime in the ways that i know how to.
an aspect of this is making work that disrupts and shapes how we create and hold space in our homes, rituals and routines. i believe so strongly that when we slow down and activate our senses, we are able to greet the world from a place of groundedness, curiosity and love. we become more open to all the possibilities for living more fully, more deeply, more connected.
a huge part of this project is also about subverting norms and expectations—gender, cultural, functional, otherwise.
glass and perfume are forms typically associated with luxury or high-end. I believe that art, pleasure, beauty, joy and healing is for everyone. a core mission of my work is to reshape how these things can be accessible to all by providing alternative financial models like sliding scale, pay-what-you-can, and the places my work is available, outside of gallery and adjacent institutional spaces.

as i begin this endeavor i am offering sliding scale on some items.

please keep in mind that each piece i make is entirely handmade—even when aspects of the work can involve molds. there is still an immense amount of time and care involved.
if there is a piece or scent you are interested and affordability is a barrier, please get in touch with me directly. the work i make is meant to be experienced—not to sit on a shelf in my studio.

for glass pieces i will make single or very limited edition of pieces to start. depending on interest i may release additional editions.
for each scent I create, I plan to release batches bottled in ready-made packaging that i’ve modified by hand. I will also have a concept bottle available in very limited editions.
I will announce ahead of time when i’m releasing a new scent or glass pieces via newsletter + instagram. if there’s something out of stock that you are interested in acquiring, please let me know.

shipments are mailed once a week on Wednesdays. the cutoff time to make the Wednesday shipment is 11AM EST.
i ship USPS ground advantage from brooklyn, NY. all perfume will ship ground due to it's hazard status.
